You Are Good
You are good.
This can be a tough one. We don’t feel like we are good and we are taught that we are fallen sinners. How can we be good?
We are good because our Father is good and he created us to be good too. Sin is an aberration, it is not what we were made to be.
“GOD saw all that he had made, and it was very good.”
Shepherd’s Note
Genesis 1 ends with GOD looking at everything He had made and calling it very good, and that verdict was spoken before anyone had achieved, produced, or proven a thing. Your goodness starts there. You bear the image of a good Maker, so your worth is received, not earned, and it is older than every failure that has tried to rename you. Sin has marred the picture, but it has not erased it, and in Christ GOD is restoring what He first delighted in. Hear His word over you today: good.
